ParanormalWelcome to the Paranormal Page A Site for Paranormal Studies Since the practice of paranormal investigation includes the use of dowsing tools, such as dowsing rods and pendulums, as well as a hefty dose of intuition, we have decided to include this subject in our website. For more specific information on conducting an expert investigation, please see an article on Paranormal Investigation in our Reflections section. Paranormal investigations are conducted with the use of dowsing rods, pendulums, EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors, video and still shot cameras, night vision goggles and cameras, EVP (electronic voice phenomena) recorders and a generous helping of psychic ability, we investigate reported incidents of paranormal activity. We seek to first discover what natural causes might be contributing to any claims of paranormal activity, for instance an abundance of electromagnetic energy. EMFs are notorious for creating complaints ranging from something as simple as headaches and nausea to physical illness, as well as visual and audio hallucinations. High electromagnetic readings can also contribute to feelings of paranoia -- the feeling that you are being watched -- sleeplessness and restlessness. EMFs are responsible for that "creepy feeling". "Things that go bump in the night" can easily be attributed to loose gas or water pipes in the home. When feeling a cold spot, be sure to check for drafts in the windows, doors and floor boards. Most things are explainable...some are not...they become the "paranormal." On occasion, we get lucky and happen across evidence which cannot be explained by normal causes. In these rare instances, we report our findings here, on the Paranormal Page. Our most recent adventure took place on the Haunted Las Vegas Tour and Show . We were delighted to be able to visit some of the hotels, parks and abandoned homes where claims of paranormal activity have been made. We have included two photos from the tour, taken on February 16, 2008 at Green Valley Park, Henderson, Nevada. One photo is rather simplistic, with your basic orbs. The second caught our attention and frightened a couple of our investigators. It was taken at the same park, however, when I took this photo I had just finished quietly inviting anyone willing to step up and have their photo taken. What appears on the photo looks like an open gate with a letter, apparently written in cursive, on each side. If you look behind or "through" the gate, in the middle of the photo, you can barely make out the actual picnic table, which was where my camera had been pointing when I snaped the shot. When photographing a potentially haunted site, always be courteous. Remember, you are the intruder in the comfort zone of the spirits claiming their space. Let them know, audibly, that you are not there to intrude, to claim their space, or to cause them any harm. Allow them the opportunity to be included in your photos by asking them for their permission to take photos and then wait about 10-15 minutes before you begin your photograph sessions. Before your first click of the camera, state again that you would like to take their pictures and invite them to step in front of your camera if they wish to be included in the photo. I did this when I took one of my photos, which I have listed in the photo album - see the link below. The result was an exciting light show! Also included in the photos section are photos we have gathered over the years, and others we've "found" while going through our own personal photos. Have a look! If you wish to schedule an investigation of your suspected haunted space, simply email your concerns. For the time being, we are only taking appointments in the Houston and surrounding areas. We will discretely visit your space and conduct a professional and honest investigation. We use still and video recorders, as well as voice recorders, electromagnetic detectors, dowsing rods and pendulums. Once we have performed a thorough examination of the evidence we have gathered, we will meet with you at a time convenient for you to go over with you what we did or didn't find. Your name and address will never be published without your permission. Click on the link below to view photos that we have gathered over the years. We will add more as they become available.
