Child's Play
This article has been in the works for several years – roughly twenty. I have finally, this past weekend, put a few of the missing puzzle pieces together so that what I tap out onto paper makes a smidgeon of sense to the reader. Where did I find these missing pieces, you ask? I finally took the advice of several friends and read The Future is Yours: Do Something About It, by Raymon Grace. The simplicity of the techniques mentioned makes me wonder why we all aren’t using them, and more importantly, why didn’t I recognize how to do this sooner? Since I have decided to do something about not only my future, but my present, I have seen some amazing changes, which happened just over the past weekend, after taking what I learned and using it. The following are my stories, and as incredible as they sound, they are true and factual. Before I begin, I want to relay a story for you that will help get you started on the imagination process. Raymon described a “pretend” game he played with his daughter and several other children, in which he asked them to pretend they saw an oak tree and a poplar tree. He asked them to close their eyes and pretend to walk into the tree and report to him which tree was harder. They all told him the oak was harder. I immediately called my 11-year-old daughter into the room and asked her to help me with this experiment. I had her close her eyes and pretend the two trees were in front of her. I asked her to pretend to go into each tree and tell me which one was harder. After a few moments she said, “I pretended I was crawling on my hands and knees and I bumped my head on the oak tree, but I sort of soaked into the poplar tree.” My point is imagination is key. All it takes to make anything happen is the use of your imagination. Use pictures – not words. With that, here we go! Blockbuster Two weeks or more ago my son and I went into our local Blockbuster video store to sign up so he could rent video games. These games cost $7.99 each to rent for one week. When I signed up, the nice gentleman offered to let me purchase a monthly pass for only $17.99 and all rentals would be free on this monthly program. I didn’t have the funds that day to get this set up, but was assured when we returned the next time we could get this pass. Two days later, we returned. Two women working at the counter looked puzzled when I mentioned I would like to purchase the Game Pass that was offered to me two days ago. After several moments of squabbling and feeling frustration mounting, we left, empty handed, and $16.00 broker after renting two more games. We returned the next week and met Chelly, who again offered us the Game Pass. Having only a ten dollar bill on me at the time, I had to decline, but asked her to please write down her name and any other information we needed to get this Game Pass, in case she was not there the next time we came in. Over that following weekend was when I read Raymon’s book. We had to go back to the game store to return the game we had rented and get yet another for my high-maintenance son. This time, however, I took time in the parking lot to prepare the energy ahead of time, as Raymon suggested, by intending and picturing myself getting along very well with whoever was working this day, picturing this person going overboard to be helpful, and picturing my son and me walking out with our Game Pass. My son selected his game and I proceeded to the counter, smile on my face, Chelly’s paper in hand, and greeted the same woman, who only two weeks or so ago insinuated that I had lost my crackers about this non-existent Game Pass. I politely asked her for a Game Pass, told her Chelly had written the kind of pass we needed, and then I watched as this woman pulled up our account and stated, “Why, of course you qualify for the Game Pass. Who told you you couldn’t have a Game Pass?” When I told her she, herself, and another woman told me this, she was almost stumbling over her words, apologizing, and assured me it must have been a huge misunderstanding. She went overboard to explain the two different passes available, and suggested the pass that would save us the most money in the long run. We walked out with our Game Pass in hand. Flow of Prosperity I have to tell you, I did go a bit crazy trying this technique and that as I devoured every word in Raymon’s book, but on this one technique I would have to wait a day to see any results. I was happy and delighted to discover that standing in the Prosperity energy flow works! We are not wealthy by any means, but we make a decent living. Still, we live paycheck to paycheck. I figured it sure couldn’t hurt to try what was suggested in Raymon’s book – to stand in the flow of the energy of prosperity. I had to know if it could work for me, too. I imagined myself standing in an energy flow, which I named Prosperity. I also pictured myself happy, smiling, shining in sparkling white light, with my pockets full and overflowing with money. I held this picture in my mind while I absorbed how good it felt to be in this flow. This was Sunday night. On Monday morning I decided to have a look at my checking account, you know, just in case…. To my surprise and delight, our account balance was $500 higher than it was just the day before, yet no deposits had been made by me or my husband. I won’t know until tomorrow, Tuesday, from where this deposit came. All I know is that the Universe heard me and honored my request for prosperity. It’s important to note that when you work on prosperity, be watchful of the little signs, as well. For instance, our auto insurance premium also went down by $12 a month. These little signs show us that prosperity is working. Keep your eyes open and be sure to say thanks! Tipping the Scales I used to be a svelte size 6, 135-pound, 5’6” lady. That was before I turned forty. It seems that on the very moment I turned forty years old, my weight increased by 15 pounds and it has been a struggle to keep from getting heavier since that day. While reading Raymon’s book, something stood out and struck me right between the eyes: my metabolism had slowed down! I used the following two techniques to help me release* the extra weight I have gained over the past five and a half years. First, I went back in time to the year before I turned forty and “recorded” my metabolic rate. How? In picture format, I focused in on my metabolism and pushed a “record” button. Then, while I had that rate recorded, I pictured myself as a wind-up doll and gave the wind up mechanism a good twist. At that moment I felt a rush of energy surge from my head to my toes, and I simultaneously saw what looked like a spinning whirlwind start at my head and twist down to my toes and out. Now, we had been working all weekend long on redecorating my daughter’s bedroom, putting up a ceiling fan, painting, laying wallpaper border, and I was physically exhausted and sore. Within minutes after I gave that mechanism a twist and felt that rush of energy, I was up again and cleaning my kitchen and starting supper – I had boundless energy. When I woke the following morning, I stepped onto the scale and saw that I had overnight released five pounds! My target weight is 135 and I have programmed my body to release excess weight until I reach 135 pounds, and I have also programmed my body to remain healthy and vital during and after this time. I’ll keep you posted! *Be careful with the words you use. If you “lose” weight, it is assumed you will find it again. However, if you “release” it, it is gone for good. Parting the Clouds This incident happened some years ago, but the same principles were applied – using mental images to achieve the desired result. My husband at the time and I were relocating from Las Vegas back to southern California and had everything we owned in the back of a pick-up truck, including our pet hermit crab, Crabby. He was a large-sized crab and was larger than the size of my hand. I was very attached to him. The weather was cold and it looked like it was going to start raining at any moment. Knowing my crab would drown if his terrarium filled with rain water, and realizing his need to stay warm, I looked to the clouds and asked them to part so that Crabby would have sunshine and dry weather for the remainder of our journey. While I was talking to the clouds, I was sending mental pictures of a pathway of sunlight. Just moments after I sent my request, I began to see the clouds begin to thin out. A few minutes later, there was a clear, bright pathway in the clouds that seemed to outline the highway we were following. Not a drop of rain fell and our crab was warmed by the sun. Regrettably, the warmth did not come soon enough. Shortly after we arrived at our destination, within a week, Crabby passed away. We think he caught a cold of some sort and died. We were thankful that he did not suffer the horror of drowning in rain water, however. Healing This is something I've done for many years without really knowing why or how it works. Again, it's the same principle; using a picture image in your mind to visualize an outcome. Only this is a little different. When I am asked to send healing or energy, I first obtain permission and watch my pendulum indicate that I have permission. Then, I concentrate on the person, while in a relaxed state, and I begin to get an image of the person. Usually I have some idea of where a problem is located, so will look there first. In my mind's eye a problem will show up as a dark spot or will take the form of some other picture that is different from the rest of the healthy body. The problems show up to me as "fixable" things. For instance, I did some work on a friend who had lumbar/sacral pain (low back). She asked me to take a look and I saw a tangled mess of strings (nerves). I took action to carefully untangle some of them. The next day she reported relief and said she had much more mobility in her back. More recently, I looked in on another friend who has suffered from continuing pain for several years of her life. When I learned the pain came from her head area, I began there first, placing myself inside her head. What I saw was what looked like soot as in a chimney. How do you clean soot? You scrape it off. So I scraped it off. The very next day she wrote me and told me she had no physical pain. I assured her I would keep a check and clean up anything I saw forming. I have serveral more healing stories, but I think I'll hold off for now. Wouldn't want to bore anyone! Parting Thoughts I wanted to add that although it is an awesome thing to watch your efforts at changing energy come to fruition, keep in mind why you are doing this. If you find yourself using these techniques for any other reason than to help another person or to teach someone else how to help themselves, you’re in it for the wrong reasons. I can’t see that anyone reading this article has any intentions other than the highest good of another, but there are those who will misuse the good intentions of another. If you are using energy redirection to help another, the benefits are awesome. It’s what keeps me going. I’m not saying it works all the time, but it works enough times that I want to keep doing it. I strongly suggest that if you have not read Raymon’s book, don’t delay in doing so. It has begun to change my life and has certainly enhanced what I already know how to do. © Mirror Waters Lorilee Nelson 01/16/2006 |
